These cards are symmetrical, so the paper can be folded in half and the pop-up cut with scissors. They are easy enough for children with adult guidance (or practice) to make on their own.
With just one or two shapes popping out of the card, these designs can be made by a beginner. They do require the use of a scalpel knife for clean, precise cuts, so they are too advanced for young children.
A little experience with cutting and folding is useful before trying out these templates. The basic techniques are the same as those used to make easy cards, but it may take a few more minutes to make these: more cuts + more folds = more time!
These cards are either hard to cut, hard to fold -- or both! If you try to make them without any previous paper craft experience you might get a little frustrated, but if your fingers are nimble you will still succeed. |
